Step 1:
Get your case and set it on the floor where you will be playing your trumpet.
Step 2:
Be sure your case is the correct way before opening it. You can identify this by looking at the logo and if it’s facing up then it probably is the right way.
Step 3:
Open your case and retrieve your mouth piece.
Step 4:
Now you will wash the mouthpiece, run it under warm water for a couple seconds, then use 2 or 3 squirts of sterilizer spray, rinse off your mouthpiece for the second time, finally dry it off with paper towel.
Step 5:
Open up your case again and connect the mouthpiece to the body of the trumpet.
Tips:
-Do not jam your mouthpiece into the trumpet too hard. This could cause the mouthpiece to get stuck, or damaged and need repairs.
-Always try to open your case on the ground. If you open your case on a shelf or anywhere where it could fall, potential damage could occur.
