Piccolo Trumpet
The Piccolo trumpet is the smallest trumpet and it is also is a lot higher in pitch compared to the other trumpets. Unlike other instruments in the trumpet family the Piccolo trumpet has 4 valves instead if 3. |
The Cornet
The Cornet is like the Bb trumpet but a little bit smaller. It also produces a "mellower" sound than other trumpets. |
The Flugelhorn
The Flugelhorn can be mostly found in jazz and it produces a "softer sound" than the other trumpets. |
The Pocket Trumpet
The Pocket trumpet is a shorter Bb trumpet which plays a very different sound. |
The Bugle
The Bugle is a trumpet that has no valves. The Bugle was used for military in the past and continues to be used today in the military as well as other purposes. |
